Our story
Hi, I'm Martin.
I am proprietor of Dockyard Models, a small company set up to fill a missing link in the model boat building hobby. Put your self in the company of individuals, from beginners to established experts, who use our services.
We supply the model boat builder with hardware such as motors, batteries, driveshafts, and propellers, to electronics and radio equipment, etc. Also basic building materials of brass, plastic and some timber, coupled with enthusiastic advice and support.
However, our speciality is our own exclusively designed and made fittings and figures for individuals who just can't find the specifics that they need to complete their masterpiece.
We are dedicated to working with you to maximise on own exceptional crafting. Our focus lies in providing a high level of support, driven by a deep respect for quality, detail and a genuine desire to exceed your expectations.

Our history
With my wife, we started Dockyard Models to continue enabling a continued support for boat modellers in an increasingly digital non-practical world.
From modest beginnings, we have grown through experience and persistence to be a "go-to" for some incredible modellers.
I have over 30 years modelling experience that involved finding solutions to challenging problems, and a background in precision engineering. I have had to learn new skills as I developed and now not only offer retail services, but also CAD design and 3D printing.
Each step has reinforced core belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of understanding the modellers needs.
We're passionate about what we do, and we're excited to share our story with you.
